With the "Hamburger Unterwelten" group, I visited a Bunker built in 1941-1942 to shelter more than 700 people. It was hit by a bomb in 1944, but was not really damaged. Inside, all is almost intact, giving a very impressive ambiance. Apart from the neon lights which have replaced the lightbulbs, the electricity installation is original. And a douzen paintings on the walls, from an unknown artist and describing life in Hamburg, are from the war period as well.
